What it does: The outer ceramic layer provides genuine sub-micron filtration. It physically blocks fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts (like Cryptosporidium & Giardia), and turbidity.
Bonus: It is impregnated with Silver for self-sterilizing, anti-bacterial properties.
What it does: Inside the ceramic shell is an NSF-tested Activated Carbon Block. This absorbs chlorine, chloramines, bad tastes, odours, pesticides, chemicals, and heavy metals like Lead.

One of the biggest benefits of the Ceramic Filter is that it is washable. If your water flow slows down, it means the ceramic outer shell is doing its job and catching sediment.
Note on Operation: Because the tap joint is located before the filter, water needs to pass through the dense ceramic block. After closing the tap, you may notice water continuing to trickle for a few moments as the pressure drains out. This is normal and ensures no residue is left inside the filter.
