Most water dispenser issues have a simple fix you can do yourself in a few minutes. Here’s what to try first — and when to call us instead.

Safe DIY Fixes (User-Level)

No Hot Water

Check first: Is the unit plugged in and switched on? Is the power outlet working (test with another appliance)? Allow 20–30 minutes after plugging in for the hot tank to reach temperature. If the unit has been heavily used, the hot tank may need time to reheat.

If still no hot water: Call us on 1800 789 781. Do not attempt to open the unit or access internal components — the heating element and electrical components should only be serviced by a qualified technician.

Slow Water Flow

Fix: Replace the filter cartridge. A heavily clogged cartridge is the most common cause of reduced flow. Browse our replacement cartridge range. Also check the bottle is properly seated and not empty.

Water Tastes or Smells Off

Fix: Replace the filter cartridge and sanitise the reservoir. See: How to Clean a Water Cooler. If the taste issue persists after a new cartridge and clean, call us.

Leaking

Fix: Check the bottle is properly seated and not cracked. Check all tap fittings are hand-tight. Empty and check the drip tray. If the leak is from the base of the unit or from internal components, stop using the unit and call us — this may be covered under your 12-month warranty.

Excessive Noise

Fix: Ensure the unit is on a flat, level surface. Check nothing is touching or vibrating against the unit. A quiet hum is normal (compressor cycling). Loud rattling usually means the unit isn’t level. Persistent unusual noise — call us.

Cloudy or Grey Water After New Cartridge

Fix: Normal — residual carbon fines from the new cartridge. Discard the first 1–2 litres through the cold tap and the water will run clear.
