How It Works

The Aquafresh is a gravity-fed, bottle-based filtration and dispensing system. Water from the 20-litre bottle flows down through the 8-stage KDF cartridge sitting inside the bottle neck, filtering as it goes. The filtered water collects in the cooler's internal reservoir, where it is chilled (and heated, on Hot or Cold models) ready for dispensing.

Simply lift the dispenser tap to draw cold or ambient water. On Hot or Cold models, the red tap dispenses heated water — always engage the child safety lock when young children are nearby.

Setup

1. Place the cooler on a flat, stable surface within reach of a 240V power point.
2. Fit the 8-stage cartridge into the neck of the 20-litre bottle (twists to lock).
3. Fill the bottle with tap or tank water.
4. Invert the bottle and seat it securely onto the cooler.
5. Plug the unit in and allow 20–30 minutes for the water to chill before use.
6. For Hot or Cold models: allow an additional 15–20 minutes for hot water to reach temperature.

Tip: Flush the new cartridge with 10–15 litres of water before your first use to clear harmless carbon particles and ensure fresh-tasting water from the start.

Filter Replacement

Replace the 8-Stage KDF Replacement Cartridge every 6–12 months, or approximately every 3,000–5,000 litres — whichever comes first. Keep a spare cartridge on hand so you're never without filtered water.

Care and Maintenance

• Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth regularly — avoid abrasive cleaners or bleach.
• Clean the drip tray weekly.
• Replace the 8-stage cartridge every 6–12 months.
• If the cooler will not be used for an extended period, empty and unplug the unit and leave the taps open to allow the reservoir to dry internally.
• Do not place in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

Freestanding coolers are large, bulky items dispatched via road freight. Delivery is available Australia-wide; additional freight charges may apply to remote or regional areas. Does the Aquafresh require a plumber?

No. The Aquafresh is a bottle-fed system — it uses a 20-litre refillable bottle and does not connect to mains water. No plumbing, no installation. Just plug in and fill your bottle.

What filter cartridge does it use?

The Aquafresh works with the 8-Stage KDF Replacement Cartridge, which sits inside the 20-litre bottle neck. Replace every 6–12 months or 3,000–5,000 litres.

Does the Hot or Cold model have a child safety lock?

Yes. The hot tap on the Hot or Cold model includes a child safety lock mechanism to prevent accidental dispensing of hot water. Always engage the safety lock when children are present.

Can I use any 20-litre bottle?

The cooler is designed for the Awesome Water Filters 20-litre bottle with its standard 55mm neck fitting. Our AWF bottle is confirmed compatible.

How long until the water is cold after setup?

Allow approximately 20–30 minutes after plugging in for the chilled reservoir to reach operating temperature. Hot water on the Hot or Cold model takes an additional 15–20 minutes.
