The XF934 is more eco-friendly. RO systems typically flush 4-5 litres of water down the drain for every 1 litre of clean water they produce. This filter retains the fluoride reduction benefits without wasting water.
This filter usually replaces the first stage (sediment) filter. It acts as both a sediment remover (5 micron) and a fluoride reducer before the water hits your carbon block filter.
If your area has very dirty water with heavy sediment, we recommend installing a cheap poly-spun sediment filter before this fluoride filter to prevent it from clogging up too early.
The rated capacity is 1800 Litres. For an average household, this typically equates to 12 months of use. If you notice a drop in pressure or a change in taste, change it sooner.
