What to Prepare

Stored water: The Australian Government recommends storing at least 3 litres per person per day for a minimum of 3 days. A 20-litre bottle provides a useful buffer.

Spare cartridges: Browse our replacement cartridge range and keep one spare. Cartridges have a long shelf life when stored sealed.

What Gravity Filters Can and Can’t Do in an Emergency

Can do: Remove sediment, chlorine, heavy metals, and bacteria (ceramic stage). Suitable for filtering stored rainwater or tank water.

Can’t do: Remove viruses (requires UV or chemical treatment), remove dissolved chemicals from contaminated floodwater, or desalinate seawater. In a genuine contamination event, follow advice from your local water authority.
